On August 2, our Foundation received a letter for Brigada Eskwela 2022.
Brigada Eskwela 2022 is a full-fledged program of The Ministry of Education that focuses on providing access to education and raise the quality of education. The physical aspect of Brigada Eskwela 2022 consists of a few weeks of school maintenance and minor to medium repairs before the reopening of classes after school.
As a foundation, we certainly want to contribute to this. The last time we contributed was during the corona pandemic. Providing necessary necessities such as masks and products for good hygiene.
We were asked to help set up a new library. The previous classroom had been hit by a typhoon. They had a perfect space to establish a new library here. However, this was on the top floor. Close by is a staircase, of course very unsafe for children. As a foundation, we provided steel.
The stairs are now super safe for children to quietly find a place upstairs to study after school. The furniture such as bookcases and tables are also made. This makes us very happy as a foundation. How small contributions make a big difference. We look back with pride, how happy everyone is there.
